How to use it

  1. Freeze the insertA few hours in the freezer is enough. Keep a spare in there at the same time.
  2. Slide it into the bandanaThe insert sits in a sleeve, so nothing cold touches your skin directly.
  3. Wear it at the neckCooling the blood vessels close to the surface there does more than cooling elsewhere.
  4. Swap when it warmsChange to the spare insert and put the first one back in the freezer or a cooler.
  5. Rinse and store dryWipe the sleeve down and let it dry before it goes away.

Common questions

How long does one insert stay cold?

It depends on ambient temperature and activity. Most people get a couple of hours in normal heat, which is why the inserts come in pairs.

Does it drip or get my collar wet?

No. There is no water in it. The insert is sealed and sits inside a fabric sleeve.

Does it still work in humidity?

Yes. Soaking bandanas rely on evaporation and fade in humid air; a frozen insert does not.

Can I freeze the whole bandana?

Freeze the insert, not the sleeve. The sleeve stays soft so it is comfortable to wear.

How do I wash it?

Hand wash the sleeve and let it dry fully. Wipe the insert with a damp cloth.

Can I use it for a hot flush or a migraine?

People do use them that way. They are a general cooling product rather than a medical device, so follow your doctor if you are managing a condition.
